Hills Database

This section of the database looks at the walks I have done, from the perspective of the various UK hill classifications. This will help anyone looking for a walk that includes hlls within a specific hill list, for example the English Hewitts. I've also pulled out a table that shows the hills I've visited the most.

I'm only actively pursuing the completion of a couple of these hill classifications - and hills in the other lists get ticked off almost as a by-product of these, or as a result of walks to trig points or long distance walks I'm completing. I'm often surprised at how many tops I've actually done this way. I'm much closer to completing the hill tables for the various English National Parks than I am for the overall hill classifications.

The vast majority of my walks have been in England, so the English tables are much closer to completion than those in Scotland or Wales and I doubt I'll ever finish any of the classifications in these nations.

My Top 10 Hills

This is simply a list of the hills I have visited most. I've avoided calling this my 'Favourite Hills' list, because although some of these are indeed firm favourites, this is not that list.

English Hill List

These are the hill tables for England and my progress so far against them. In most cases I am not actively pursuing the completion of a complete hill classification, but they get ticked off as I visit sub-categories, such as the Yorkshire Dales Tops or Wainwrights, or as a by-product of Trig Point walks. In fact I'm surprised at how many tops I've actually done this way.

Scottish Hill List

I've done quite a lot of walking in Scotland over the last few years, including several long distance routes, but these tend to use bealachs (passes) rather than visit the tops and this is reflected in the very low completion figures for all these categories.

Welsh Hill List

I've done very little hill bagging in Wales, so although I've done a few walks in the Clwydians, the North Wales Pilgrim Way, a few days along Offa's Dyke and some random day walks, they haven't contributed many hills!
